Point Loma Homes for Sale & Community Information

Point Loma is a is a peninsula on the west side of San Diego.  It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on the west and San Diego Bay on the east.  The north end of the peninsula was swampy rivermouth until the city of San Diego created the beautiful Mission Bay Park from the marshes.

We are minutes away from San Diego's International Airport, Lindbergh Field. This is very convenient if you ever want to leave San Diego!  Even more convenient when you have friends and family to pick up at the airport!   Yet many of the homes are out of the flight path and not bothered by any noise or pollution from the airport.

We are also just minutes to Downtown, Little Italy, Balboa Park, La Jolla, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and all the fun of San Diego.

There are many smaller communities on the Peninsula.  They include the new Liberty Station which was the Naval Training Center.  It offers housing, recreation on a new 46 acre waterfront park, wonderful shopping, arts events, and special events. Roseville (also called "The Village") is the heart of the Peninsula with shops and commercial buildings on Rosecrans and homes, apartments and condo's nearby.  Roseville adjoins the Sportfishing Marina and Shelter Island.  Both are part of the Port of San Diego and afford great beauty on the bay, fabulous restaurants, views, walking paths, and more fun!

La Playa offers fine homes starting at about a million dollars with some less expensive condos and town homes.  The views from La Playa are extraordinary!

Our community loves The Wooded Area....rich with history, it still has a rural feel with few sidewalks and lots of trees.

Point Loma Nazarene University is a great neighbor and there are constant cultural events there that enhance the quality of life for all of us.  It is located on the former Madame Tingleys Theosophical Society and maintains many of the original ornate buildings from that organization. It also boasts amazing views over the Pacific Ocean.

Ocean Beach is a unique community on the west side of Point Loma.  We like to say it is beside the Point.  Eclectic sums it up nicely.  Time has forgotten this wonderful seaside main street town.

The Navy has occupied most of the southern tip of Point Loma since the area was settled.  However, you can go out to the tip via a National Park  and enjoy amazing views, the old Point Loma lighthouse, and tidepools.

I would love to show you this place we call home.
